YQCA

All youth exhibiting livestock at the Skamania County Fair must complete Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) certification prior to the fair. This national program has been required since 2024 and provides essential training in proper animal care, welfare, and husbandry practices.

YQCA certification helps young exhibitors learn:

  • Best practices for animal health and handling
  • Ethical treatment and welfare standards
  • Food safety and quality assurance
  • Responsible antibiotic and medication use
YQCA Certificate Verification DUE JUNE 20, 2026

How to Get Certified:

Visit the YQCA website at www.yqca.org to complete the online training and receive your certification or through in person offerings. The program is available in both English and Spanish.

Verification Required:

Once you've completed your YQCA certification, you must verify your certificate information with the fair. Upload your certification details using the form to the right, or submit via the form that was emailed to you. This verification must be completed before you can exhibit livestock at the fair.
