Volunteering

Built by the hearts and hands of volunteers, the Skamania County Fair and Timber Carnival is more than an annual event—it’s a celebration of community.

The fair is a treasured gathering place where everyone feels at home—where we honor the past while shaping the future, where hard work is celebrated, and old-fashioned fun is alive and well.

From welcoming guests and supporting exhibitors to sharing skills and working behind the scenes, volunteers are what make our fair special—and what keeps people coming back year after year!

When you volunteer, you’re not just lending a hand—you’re helping preserve the traditions and spirit of our community, creating a lasting impact that will be felt for generations.

Sign up today and be part of something truly special.

Background Check & Acknowledgement

The Skamania County Fair Board works closely with Skamania County Community Events to produce our events. Many of our events involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults.

All volunteers are required to complete a Washington State Patrol (WSP) background check prior to serving. The Fair Board provides this at no cost to you, and you are entitled to a copy of the results.

By clicking below and submitting this form, I understand that I will be required to complete a background check before volunteering, and that I will abide by the Fair Board Code of Conduct.
