Golden Gorge

Golden Gorge Contest

The Golden Gorge Contest is sponsored by the Skamania County 4-H Leaders' Council. Since the Golden Gorge award is education-focused, youth are not required to show an animal to quality or compete. The Golden Gorge Award is open to all 4-H youth registered by April 1 of the current 4-H year. In order to earn the Golden Gorge award medal, Junior, Intermediate, and Senior youth must participate in seven various educational activities. Cloverbuds are also eligible for a Golden Gorge award medal but will only be required to participate in three mandatory activities. Each activity will earn points from its scorecard. If there is no scorecard, ribbon placing will be used. The top points in Junior, Intermediate, and Senior will be awarded a belt buckle.
