Livestock Events at Skamania County Fair
Discover the heart of rural tradition at Skamania County Fair & Timber Carnival's livestock events in Stevenson, WA. Each August, our fairgrounds come alive with 4-H livestock shows showcasing the hard work and dedication of youth producers throughout the Columbia River Gorge region.
Our livestock program features competitive 4-H shows in swine, goats, sheep, and bovine categories, where young exhibitors demonstrate their animal husbandry skills and knowledge. The week culminates in our popular market sale and auction, where community members support youth agriculture by purchasing champion animals.
Beyond the competition, visitors can explore educational exhibits and posters that highlight modern livestock practices and the importance of agriculture in our community. These family-friendly displays make learning about farming and animal care accessible to all ages.
As part of our free-gate fair experience, livestock events offer things to do in Stevenson, WA that connect families to agricultural heritage while supporting the next generation of producers in the Columbia River Gorge.
